Yama-Q in Bridgehampton

Yamaq
My friend Eric took me to Yama-Q a couple of summers back. It is his favorite place.  I get it.

Not only do they serve sushi but they have a variety of Asian influenced food on the menu.  There is the blackboard on top of the register with the daily specials.  Halibut wraps, Seared Tuna with noodles, Chick Pea Soup, etc.  BTW, the iced green tea is delicious.  They also have tasty desserts mango sorbets and other fresh ice creams of the week and even key lime pie and strawberry rhubarb compote.  The seaweed salads are good too.

It is a definite locals place.  Service is not exactly quick so be prepared to take your time.  They are pretty much understaffed but it is worth the wait.  The food is good.  If Yama-Q was in my NYC neighborhood, I’d frequent it often for lunch.  Haven’t been for dinner but I assume the food is still good but the vibe for me is more geared to lunch.

Another winner in the Hamptons, yes!
