Gingerbread House

I love it when my kids continue with traditions.  Emily wanted to make a gingerbread house this year with her friend.  I have made the house from scratch for many years.  I am not that great at it but we always made due putting it together.  Lene, who helps manage our lives, picked up a pre-made box at Bed, Bath and Beyond.  The kit comes with all the makings.  Yes!

My nieces were in town and they couldn't have been more thrilled to help in the activity.  Every step is fun from buying the candy, deciding how the house should look and of course eating as you go along.  The hardest part is definitely putting the house together.  We have yet to master that but the house came out great.
