Friday night we went to our friends for dinner. He loves food and loves to cook. Food is basically one with him. He had brought home a porchetta from Sara Jenkins for dinner. We were thrilled to share in the goods.
He made a salad on the side with roasted beets, thinly sliced fennel, baby spinach tossed with lemon juice and olive oil and slices of mandarin oranges on top. Really delicious. But the pork, woah. The flavor is incredible. A serious treat.
Her store is tiny located in the east village. I highly recommend ordering a whole porchetta, having a few people over for dinner and digging in. A serious treat.
