Independence Day

imgresThe name alone says something.  Independence.  Today is the celebration of the day the United States adopted our constitution.  It would be an interesting exercise to go back and read all of the speeches that our Presidents gave when they were elected into office.  They each reflect the times that they lived in and the what the country was thinking about.  Times have changed but times haven’t changed either.

As we enter the summer before the next Presidential election, it is a good day to remember we are independent, we are free and regardless of all the disagreements we have from education to politics.  We are lucky to live in a place where people can dream big and have their dreams come true.  That doesn’t happen in every country around the globe.

Happy Independence Day.

Sitting in my office now, in a tshirt and dungarees (my daily outfit), I can’t help but think about how uncomfortable it was “back then”.Having to always be dressed up and with no AC to boot. I get uncomfortable just thinking about that.
