Off to Sicily

We came to Sicily for a few days to hang with the family.  It is beautiful, relaxing and a nice place to hang.  After landing in Catania, we made our way to lunch in the midst of the fish market of Catania.  The market was wrapping up as we left lunch so did not get many pics but did get to see the place beforehand.  Of course, we had some fresh crudo for lunch.

Then we made our way to the place we would be staying for the rest of the week.  A beautiful home built in the early 1800’s that was bought and renovated 10 years ago.  The renovation took 5 years.  We had dinner there every night and just took in the views, the smells and watched Mt. Etna.  Lemonade was waiting for our arrival.  The property has hundreds of lemon trees.

They also have their own garden where they grow their own vegetables for the property.  Compost too.

The views are amazing.

Having dinner outside among this beauty is quite the treat.

A few bottles of Sicilian wine and off to bed.
