Venice Beach

If I had to live in Los Angeles, I’d choose Venice.  My brother and his wife did.  They got a sweet place which is in the midst of being renovated.  It should be fantastic when it is done. 

We spent the last day biking on Venice beach.  It is no different than I remember.  We rented bikes.  Josh rented one of the low ground bikes.  He was in heaven.  The weather was good and the locals were out in force. 

 

How could we not stop and get a henna tattoo?  Peace signs and hearts seemed to be the theme.  Emily went with the heart shaped peace sign, Jess with the peace sign inside a sun, Josh with a straight peace sign and my niece with a heart and flowers.  Very California!

There is a wall at the beach strictly for graffiti.  I love the concept.  Go and be creative and at the same time make it legal.  NYC should consider this.  Put up a few concrete walls down in Battery Park City and let the graffiti games begin.  Very cool stuff.
