White Label plays the Bitter End

White label
Josh's band, White Label, played the Bitter End this evening.  I guess they can retire now.  The Bitter End has been around for a long time and a lot of rock and roll icons have played the Bitter End.  So, it was quite cool.

Old friends came, new friends came, and of course family.  A wonderful end to a good year.  Highlights were their first "band manager", Ethan Cohen who is currently at University of Florida and quite the rocker and the current "band manager", Vin Scialla who runs the HS music program and plays in a band, got on stage with them and played.

The repertoire included Rebel, Rebel by David Bowie, Hit me with your Best Shot by Linda Rondstat, Baba O'Riley by the Who, All Along the Watchtower by Bob Dylan, Florescent Adolescent by Arctic Monkeys and Don't Stop Believing by Journey.  A real mixed batch.   I admit, I can't stand Journey and tend to lean towards Arctic Monkeys by Taliana can really sing Linda Rondstat.

The band includes, Max Fried on guitar, Taliana Katz on guitar and voice, Will Balsam on key boards, Ben Irving on guitar and voice and Josh Wilson (my son) on drums.  Not bad for 12 years old.

I had a great time. They make me proud.

Pat Benetar sang ‘Hit Me With Your Best Shot’.

Was that snarky? Sorry, I can’t control it…

Great to see you and the gang.
