Tuna salad

Tuna salad
Summer is coming to an end.  No matter what you make, if the ingredients come from a local farm stand, you really can not go wrong.  My favorite farm stand is called Balsam's Farm in Amagansett.  The tomatoes are so sweet that the yellow cherry tomatoes taste like candy.  I pulled this salad together for lunch yesterday.  Simple, fresh veggies and Italian tuna with a herb dressing.   A bit like the kitchen sink salad.

Purple, green and yellow green beans (blanched)
Heirloom tomatoes and cherry tomatoes
Red lettuce
Italian tuna
Corn
Kirby cucumbers
Avocado
Mixture of red wine and balsamic vinegar with chives, oregano, rosemary and basil with olive oil

I like making the salad like this before mixing so everyone can see what is going in.  Served with some fresh bread and olive oil for dipping.  Perfect.
