Alexander McQueen took his life today at age 40. An incredibly successful forward thinker. Designing clothes since he was a young child. Design was part of his dna. So many awards, so much influence in the industry. It is so sad when someone who appears to be on top of the world is so unhappy that they end up taking their own life. Incredibly heartbreaking. His presence in the fashion industry will surely be missed.

Absolutely.
You know his mother died and some lady who discovered him – Isabel suicided. He needed someone else in his life to keep him from joining them. Whatever it takes to keep you on this side thats what needs to happen….

really really tragic! at 40 (my age, that scared me) and he made such incredible and brave choices in his life! A reminder, I think, of the importance of connection, intimacy and deep friendships. For some its an important, difficult fight to stay/feel connected!
