BBQ at the beach
There is nothing quite like going down to the beach and having a bbq. The best part is sitting on the beach, drinking a glass of wine, eating dinner and watching the sunset. The worst part is the clean-up. Needless to say there is less light when the sun goes down.
The key to our beach events are we own a Jeep that we can drive on the beach loaded up with goodies. The sunset was magnificent…

love it! gorgeous sunset. clearly everyone fits in the family very well between the wilco and the ramones tee shirts :)!!
LOL. Exactly!
Enjoy!Champagne on the beach is a wondrous thing.
nice to see you all working hard to get ‘the look’
very very hard
Nothing better.I live at the beach, which is a lovely way to inhabit a city, but unfortunately the local council has banned alcohol year round because of delinquent teens binge drinking, so no Billecart for me. Grrr.
drag. i am not so sure that is legal here but they just turn a blind eye.
we took a bottle of red out on Ditch Plains beach after midnight. weather was surprisingly accommodating!
i have a permit!
A beach person is one thing I am def. not…but happily it looks like you all had a great and relaxing time (not counting packing and setup/breakdown of course — being able to dirve the jeep with supplies right up to the spot is absolutely key!).
Love it. Hope you’re having a great time! Also, are you going out to Portland for the XOXO festival next month?
am not but i really do want to get to portland much sooner than later!
It’s a fun city. Bon Appetit is having some sort of food festival there the weekend after XOXO. When you do come out, make a trip of Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver – you’ll love it.
Those Jeep headlights probably also help with the clean up! Having grown up on the West coast it would be weird to be on the beach where the sun didn’t set over the water.
It was all about the jeep lights
we just got back from a few glorious days in Montauk, working from home and taking surfing breaks. Scootered all the way out there! (350cc Piaggio). I guess I was just leaving Atlantic Beach when you arrived, would have been fun to see you there.
the weather gods have been very good to us this summer.
living life to the fullest…
wow good photo…when I will have the PhotoSpotlandâ„¢ beta ready I will send you the a test ticket 😉 …the pastries was in the bbq kit? ;))
