#Giving Tuesday
Who ever came up with the phrase Black Friday or Cyber Monday? There is also #Giving Tuesday. I really like this concept that hopefully will become part of the yearly landscape.
#Giving Tuesday is about establishing a day where we all give back. This site is established to raise awareness and charitable donations that make a difference. The concept of #Giving Tuesday is also to educate individuals and communities across the country to give back.
Americans are some of the most charitable people in the world. As a whole we believe that the right thing to do is to give back to others that are not as fortunate as we see ourselves. #Giving Tuesday site provides one powerful platform for people to connect, donate and make an impact.
Check it out and continue to remember #Giving Tuesday this year, next year and years to come.

I think they need a better site.I wonder how many people come to Google With “giving intent” (to modify Chris Dixon’s purchase intent phrase), looking for the right cause for themselves. I bet it’s a decent amount. Perhaps the organizers should find a way to bring G in.
i agree. the site is terrible.
This is the first I’ve heard of it! Thanks for the share. :)I like their site… but I clicked through a few and I don’t actually know how to get involved without any of the organizations. It says how they’re involved, but not how to get involved. Womp womp…All through the year I try to do #charityTuesday though. Every Tuesday I tweet out about an organization I volunteer with, has been recommended, or one that needs support (with $ or volunteers). Tag with #charityTuesday + the city. Don’t have money but I have the power to tweet and volunteer. 🙂
you gotta love social media.
Limiting the celebration of shopping to a couple of days is appropriate, but the all-year approach to charity is the right one
this is a great idea! as i’ve mentioned before. one of the biggest lessons I learnt working on wall street was that “americans are some of the most charitable people in the world” its a part of your culture, I so love that.
