Best Music of 2012
Music is everywhere and so easy to access. Making play lists 20 years ago was not the easiest. Now with a click you are good to go. My top fave album of the year is hands down Frank Ocean, Channel Orange. Second in line would be a dog fight but I would probably go with the Lumineers.
Some of these albums had a few songs I did not love but these were basically my top listens for the years including one song from Mike Doughty ( a remix of an oldie but goodie ).
The list is:
Frank Ocean – Orange, alt-J- An Awesome Wave, Grizzly Bear – Shields, The Lumineers – The Lumineers, Mumford and Sons – Babel, Tanlines- Mixed Emotions, Avett Brothers – The Carpenter, Rodriguez – Searching for Sugarman, Beach House – Bloom, Alabama Shakes – Boys and Girls, Vacationeer – Gone, Delta Spirit – Delta Spirit, Divine Fits – A Thing Called Divine Fits, Spiritualized – Sweet Heart Sweet Light, Huh?
You can hear it right here.

Nice. Still working on mine as well. http://silemdavis.com/
Growing up, I would listen to Casey Kasem counting down the year’s “best.”This type of music discovery is so much better,
The Lumineers would be on my list for sure as well…been listening to them and The Head and Heart a lot lately…both are pretty complete and awesome albums for me. The majority of the rest of my list would actually be Hip Hop (with one or two Heavy Metal and maybe a pop or country song or two thrown in)…
Nice list. Enjoy Japan.
been waiting for this, yay!
Great that shared this – can’t wait to listen to the entire list.
great list thanks!
