Have a great one.Wolf of Wall Street today, American Hustle last night.
I so want to see those both.
I went to see American Hustle a couple nights ago. Was dying to see it. I don’t know if its exhaustion from the W&T launch, or that extra margarita I had at dinner beforehand, but I passed out about 5 minutes into the film!I woke up a handful of times, and each time seemed to be a part where Jennifer Lawrence was being hilarious. I’ll definitely go back and see it again (or for the first time, really) this week.
Worth a watch.Smacks of Scorsese but isn’t.Acting is astounding, the film lags behind but not that much.Lawrence is an incredible talent and her Candide like inspired stupidity is a film great. Christian Bale touches on early de Niro brilliance and the empathy that the guy from Hurt Locker (name?) pulls out is worth it on its own,Student of film here. This film oozes talent and almost rallies it into the story,
I’m a film nut, too. And now a very excited one!
Merry Christmas to you, too!Unrelated, I found the NYTimes best restaurants of 2013 this morning: http://www.nytimes.com/2013…I’m sure you’ve been to a couple. Reviews?
