Geraldine Ferraro: Paving the Way

Geraldines daughter Donna set out to make a documentary about what an incredible woman her Mother was.  In this film, Donna's admiration for her mother comes through at every turn.  Geraldine Ferraro changed the path for women and there is no question the importance of the documentary.  Certainly nobody could have done a better job celebrating the life she lead then Donna.  I honestly cried about 10 different times over the film.  Geraldine was an amazing human being who had smarts, charm and chutzpah.  I hate to say it but she was so ahead of her time and if she had been a man she probably would have not been number two on the ticket but number one…and more than likely would have won.

Watch the short clip to Paving the Way.  The film will be shown on Showtime at 9pm on March 21st.  Honestly…mark your calendar.  Make your kids watch this movie.

I’m looking forward to this! A great precursor would be the documentary — Women Who Make America — featuring Geraldine’s work and chronicling the history of the women’s movement throughout the past century. Just watched it yesterday. http://www.makers.com/docum
