Happy Fathers Day
This year might have been one of the better Fathers Days. Everyone came out to the beach and just the 5 of us celebrated. Although the celebrations have certainly changed as the kids have become older. This year was a lot more entertaining.
Emily had an amazing idea which was to order a bunch of oysters and have a fest. Fred loves oysters. I ordered four types of oysters; Kumamoto, Beau Soleil, Malpeque and Wellfleet. Got a few shrimp and some salmon roe too.
Made a big salad on the side but mostly the night was about oysters. We have enough left over to make oyster stew to stock up on.
We celebrated, indulged in oysters and then took a spin into town for ice cream afterwards. It was like returning to a time when the kids were young. We even brought the dog with us. An awesome night.
Josh and Fred played some golf during the day and we all had lunch together too. If we could do this every Fathers Day I am pretty sure that it would be the perfect day for Fred.

Yes it would. Thank you for making it happen
Sounds like a great father’s day for a great father. (and we had oysters too, though not quite as dramatic of a spread!)
Wow, how nice! Thanks for sharing. I find insights like this inspiring, and I consider your family to be a role model.
Nice! I can OD on oysters no sweat, with a white wine 🙂 to wash it down.
Exactly
Sounds like a perfect day. Thanks for the share.
Meet you in NOLA. Best oysters and shrimp I have ever had.
