littleBits
littleBits has slowly evolved into a company that puts the power of electronics into the hands of everyone. I always said littleBits is legos for the iPad generation. But oh they have become so much more!

Wow, they have come a long way! I really love what the hands have to say in that promo video, too 😉
Big fan of littleBits and Ayah. She had a great vision and is making it happen.
To win they need to be the best marketers there are. They are also tied to a slew of traditional distribution channels.Gonna take a marketing and distribution that is as innovative as the product to make this into lego.Could just happen.
agree on all points.
Good point in regards to the marketing. I have a five year old who is heavily into building stuff, and when I go to the Little Bits website – it’s not at all clear to me if it’s for adults or kids??? This kind of stuff is HUGE right now with children with programs for them at school + around the city (i.e. NYCFirst). But I don’t see Little Bits on the school scene at all here in NYC. I do see LEGOs robotics classes, etc. Just an observation…
Nice feedback. The product is for everyone. Mostly kids. Getting into the school scene is not easy. It takes time and a lot of capital.
The longer I build brands the more clear it is to me that at its core it about understanding what you are about and who should care. This product has equally huge upside and huge challenges. Being for everyone is not necessarily always a good thing.
Being for everyone is absolutely not a good thing
