back to Paris
We flew out of Heathrow in the morning to return to Paris. Obviously an airport but the shopping, the restaurants, the entire experience is extremely civilized.
After dropping off our bags we immediately walked over to Cuisine de Bar for lunch. One of my favorite lunch places in all of Paris. Tartines galore. This is their chicken, capers and vegetable cream open-faced sandwich.
Then a stroll through the 7th which appears to have more galleries and stores each time we arrive. We stopped in one of my favorite galleries, Geraldine Banier. Always new work by young artists that are not too pricey. Love the birds.
I picked up this piece.
And this diorama of old Parisian rooms.
Dinner was at L’Affable, another fave. Each of us split something for two. Here is a photo of the veal chop for two and the beef wellington for two before dividing up the wares.
The chocolate souffle for dessert was over the top. Absolutely divine.
Back to bed for a full day tomorrow.

If you come back through London on this trip, the Auerbach show at Tate Britain is well worth seeing.
