A new brand

IMG_4217I have been asked countless times for photos and a logo.   The reality is that the investing and everything else turned into something bigger than the original thesis.  Then again not sure what the original thesis really was except to invest in some companies I believed in and see where it all went.

Fast forward it went a lot of places.  The best news is that I found an amazing assistant who has changed my life.  Not only has she made sure that I have decent photos of myself vs the ones that my brother and daughter took but she presented me with a new logo for 2016.   I am beyond thankful.

Perhaps it is time to relook at that thesis…

Well done. It sticks. Will you be slapping it on your blog too?

    1. Gotham Gal

yep. have to work on that in 2016.

Love this! And love that you realize Gotham Gal is becoming a big brand. The rest of us have seen that for a while now! It never occurred to me that wasn’t the case. You have a clear POV, clear values, there are clear and present benefits to what you do—and you get out there every day to communicate those things. That is what makes a brand. The logo and photos just seal the deal.

    1. Gotham Gal

ha. yes, i am sealing the deal.

Gorgeous new logo – and kudos on giving her the power to move forward and make decisions; so often assistants are hamstrung because they’re expected to perform miracles while waiting for approvals on every decision. Really excited to see where this new leg of the journey takes you!

she is a total self starter….phew!

she is a total self starter….phew!Back in the day it was actually not good to have someone who was that good. Why? Those were the people that ended up leaving and going out on their own. [1][1] Including my own sister although that wasn’t to start a business but to take a really nice corporate job with what she learned working for me.

Very nice.I think having a graphic identity in a communications paradigm that is headlighted with a keyframe like an avatar is essential. And for someone like yourself who collects art to inform where you live, it seems just natural.I like it!Congrats!

    1. Gotham Gal

      thanks!

For someone who writes about awesome women entrepreneurs, its great that you have taken a professional “selfie”! I love how the graphic reflects your authority, elegance and flair. In reviewing my year I am present to the wonderful books I have read…most of them off of your reading list. I am Pilgrim; All the Lights We cannot See; Between The World And Me; The Signature of All things; My Paris Dream; and all of the Elena Ferrante Books. After 2 tries I still have not gotten past chapter 3 of My Struggle Volume 1. I trust your recommendation and am committed to read his series in 2016. Thank you for sharing your passion for books (and business, and food and travel and…) Best wishes for a wonderful new year.

That logo kills! It truly rocks! Who designed it? Name please…

    1. Gotham Gal

I can let Alex chime in on that. Logo design by who?

      1. Mario Cantin

All you need now is the helicopter that boldly shows that logo on its sides … I’m serious! 🙂

I used to be in this business and I have to say that what your assistant did was really nice. [1] (Fancy Schmancy actually.)[1] Down to the staging of the photo, not having one pad but two pads stacked.
