Happy Holidays

imagesWe are on vacation this week.  It only took me about an hour after getting here to slow my pace down.  I am hitting my stride now reading books, taking naps and thinking about how healthy it is to take it down several notches.  Then of course comes the thought of why do I revel in biting off more than I can chew.  Perhaps the next few days will help me get there…enjoy the holiday.

Well you were once a stay-at-home mom and you finally reached the point one day in that coffee shop where you couldn’t take it anymore, per your own account. It’s obvious it’s in your character to be driven and ultra-productive.I’ve heard it said that the world rest on only a few shoulders….Perhaps as time moves on you’ll want to increase the number of times every year that you take a complete “time out” like that. Sensible?

That’s a good plan. More time off.

It won’t work. You will be bored 😉

Just to clarify, I’m not suggesting you slow down. But you are in a position to live life to the fullest in a way that most of us haven’t been able to organize, and so my best wishes include that you’re having enough “reset” episodes interspersed in between the whirlwind of your daily routine ?.Happy Hollidays.

Then of course comes the thought of why do I revel in biting off more than I can chew.Because you’d go stir crazy living an island life (whether the caribbean or Manhattan) with no work at all. No question about that. One of the reasons it’s fun to get away is because of the pressure and work that you have the rest of the time. (I know this from personal experience..)

People are told to discretize time as time on and time off. I prefer to divide it as ortiented and disoriented. The Latin root is orientem which means the rising sun. To move away from the harmony of the east and the rising sun each day is to become disoriented. Wake up each day in the energy of the orient.

Candy every day is too much candy; it’s only a treat when it’s specialOld original Twilight Zone episode; petty criminal wakes up in a magical world where every hand is a winning hand, and wonders how he got to this magical place — must be Heaven? Nope!https://en.m.wikipedia.org/

Didn’t you say last year you were going to slow down? gothamgal.com/2014/12/chang…I don’t see it in your cards for now 😉

    1. Gotham Gal

Ha. I say it every year. It’s part of a slow evolution.

Bitting more than you can chew is how you find the juicy things to keep chewing on. 😉 Happy Holidays.
