My friend, a woman entrepreneur, who obviously loves guacamole, was frustrated that she couldn’t save what she made for later.  She’s right.  Guacamole gets brown and pretty gross even after a few hours in the fridge.

She put on her thinking cap and came up with Guac-lock.  Many trials and tribulations that all products go through but she finally nailed it.  I have the product myself.  It works!

What she did after nailing down the product was partner with Casabella to scale to market quickly.  Not a lot of founders would have gone in that direction but I think it was brilliant.  She created something, she found the right partner who can sell it and continue to scale the product, and she gets to join in the accolades.  Pretty smart business model if you ask me.

What a cool idea. I found however an easier way to preserve guacamole is to squeeze lemon juice over the guacamole, mix it into the guacamole and put it into a regular glasslock container and it basically stays fresh and green for weeks.

She has achieved the impossible. I hope her next endeavor is youth serum!

Brilliant. Did she design it in software only– a CAD program, or did she make a makeshift initial prototype, or perhaps both? Be interesting to know.

Great question. I believe it was a makeshift prototype. How? Not sure.
