Memorial Day
Memorial Day is a day to remember the people who died while serving our country. Today, more than ever, we should remember that those people served to make sure that our democracy is upheld. Each day feels like Democracy is barely holding on. Memorial Day began with the practice of putting flowers on the graves of soldiers to memorialize those who served and no longer with us.
This day also is the unofficial first day of summer. A three-day-weekend is the perfect way to begin the season.
Enjoy the day of rest.
