James Baldwin, I Am Not Your Negro
I Am Not Your Negro, is a documentary based on James Baldwin unfinished manuscript Remember This House, a memoir of his personal reflections on his good friends and peers, the three civil rights leaders of his time, Medgar Evers, Martin Luther King and Malcolm X.
Baldwin died in 1987 so it is unclear what years he wrote Remember This House but my guess it he kept full on diaries to write his own memoir.
It is a must-watch. He had a brilliant mind. He articulates what he sees currently and how it will look in the future. He was spot on. Not much has changed it is just getting amplified.
