Conservative Men = Fear

The New York Times recently wrote an article stating that young men are turning conservative and that their female counterparts are becoming more liberal.  No shit.

When (I can’t write if) Harris becomes the first female President, let alone the first female Black President and the second Black President in the last decade, she must be better than any other President in our lifetime because she is a woman. If Harris was a white male of the same age with the same policies, the polls would tell us that Trump will lose in a landslide.

The people holding on to Trump, who, regardless of me being left, is a convicted felon and rapist and has been in bankruptcy six times, and that’s only the icing on the cake. Anybody who votes for this vile human degrades our country.

Some too many men fear what will happen with a woman in power, and it scares them.  Men have been holding on to their patriarch power for way too long, and it is becoming more apparent every day, that women are rising up, pushing back and taking their much needed spot of equality at any table. Of course, young men are becoming more conservative because they are seeing fewer opportunities as women are getting the same jobs, and competition is fierce. Many people in their 20’s are lost, and the job market is not strong for them, which pulls strong at the conservative stronghold.

We have entered (and still have a way to go) a new generation when the workforce at all levels is becoming more equitable. This is shifting society. Harris understands that although her policies could be a bit bolder, Trump still loves coal—and, of course, himself and money.

The next few days before the election will be tense and anxiety-laden, but I hope Harris wins in a landslide so we do not have to live through the lies about voter fraud and can take a new path of unity, civility, and agreement to disagree. It is time to move into the future, and that alone is a reason to vote for Kamala.
