Food Supply

I believe in vaccines. Nobody wants to return to the days of polio, measles, rubella, diphtheria, tetanus, hepatitis, and whooping cough. The impact of these vaccinations is that we are all living healthier, longer lives. Is there a small percentage of people that do not react well to these vaccinations? Sure, but the rewards outweigh the risks.

RFK will supposedly lead the Department of Health and Human Services during the next administration. His movement, Make America Healthy Again, should not be about eliminating vaccinations but changing our food supply. To feed as many people as America feeds today, the food supply has become overwrought with lobbyists protecting ultra-processed foods, food additives, pesticides and toxic chemicals, used in our industrial agriculture and that has created a slew of lifetime diseases and chronic health issues as we get sicker and fatter. The answer is not for Pharma to create a new pill to make it all better.

How do you fix the food supply system that is clearly broken? We can look to Europe, which has food additives and pesticides, but the regulations are fierce. The issue that RFK will have is that this administration wants to get rid of the government, and when it comes to the food supply, we need more oversight, not less. When Trump was in office last time, he rolled back oversight on pesticides including tough nutrition rules for school lunches.

Where will this all go? Who knows, there is no doubt that the food supply needs massive disruption, but our country (aka the Supreme Court) has allowed lobbyists and cash that keeps politicians in office to turn a blind eye towards countless products that should be highly regulated. At least RFK is a fan of the plant and psychedelics, so there is that.
