We Need More Women Leaders

Lets look at the data on how the culture and the GNP changed when women joined the workforce. More than half a billion women have joined the workforce in the past 30 years, and we are not going back. A day without women participating in the economy would create a downward spiral. Keep in mind women are relied on for the majority of work that they do not get paid for so it is not surprising that women tend to create stability and progress.

We know that women run companies have higher returns for venture, and that includes diversity.  Women’s voices are intellectually rising in every industry. Remember when only men worked on wall street?  Currently more women than men are getting college degrees. As women rise to the top let’s hope we will fix the childcare issue although it so much better than it was decades ago. This allows women to continue in their careers. That is good for everyone. Women are leaders. We are strong leaders who see the world with a different lens than our male counterparts. For many men, not all, that is not comforting.

When (I just can’t type if) Kamala becomes the first woman, second African American President ever, women will have someone in the White House that sees the world as a woman, a mother, a daughter, a wife and a politician.  I hope that she will embrace and push for change making sure that more women are empowered to be whatever they want to be. A woman who has the same health issues as we do and understands how Government has tried to hold us back for so long should be game changing. Women pay more for healthcare but only have 10% of the money being allocated to medical research. And there are countless other areas where we have been ignored for way too long.

Between the youth and Kamala being in power, I am extremely optimistic that we will be led down the path of the future.
