City Streets and AI

We walked home from dinner the other night and noticed how two restaurants, very near each other, that we happen to be investors in, were still rocking.  Truth is, anything that’s ever been in those corners has had very long, successful runs. We have lived in this city long enough to know what came before.

Is it possible to use AI to figure out what the chance of success on a particular corner is? Or mid-street, or on what specific block?  There is definitely karma to certain spots. Is it the bones? The architecture? The way traffic moves? What is it?

Then I went to Kiko. A very chill vibe spot in the old Giorgione spot that had a great run. Good vibe.  Very downtown neighborhood. I guarantee Kiko has a long run because the place has good karma. Also, the food is excellent, and the restaurant has such a great vibe. They did an incredible job renovating the space.

Then there are those spots where nothing ever succeeds, and we all know which ones, but people continue to rent them and try to make a go of it.

Would or could AI change that?  Certainly, there is information on how cities could be built better, but there is something about the spots that always succeed in a specific location. What is it?
