Mainstream Writes About Cannabis

Food and Wine has been a part of my life since 1987, when a friend gave me a subscription….I have always loved cooking. There was a time when Food and Wine was it. Dana Cowin, who was the Editor in Chief for two decades, and Kate Krader, who is the OG of the restaurant world. I looked forward to that magazine every month, but then technology happened, and the world of magazines got sidelined.
I am still a magazine hound. Some have changed, in a good way, but Food and Wine isn’t for me anymore. They went more mainstream, and I do not blame them, because that is how to reel in the ad dollars. I can read what I want from them online.
This article managed to make its way in front of my eyeballs. Alcohol vs. THC: What Is the Healthier Option? It was a balanced article, discussing the choices and acknowledging the need for more research, but also emphasizing the importance of federal legalization to facilitate that research. This was from Food and Wine, a mainstream media publication that has an 8m print audience and a digital footprint over almost 30m eyeballs, and they are writing about cannabis.
Once again, I ask: Why is this plant not federally legal?
