A little shopping in London

A little shopping.  Sadly, like NYC, the small boutiques are in very little abundance.  I'm not a huge fan of the department store after working at Macys in my early days.  I do have my favorite shops in NYC certainly love that they know me.  This afternoon I hit up my 2 fave spots in London.

Bstore which is located on Saville road and does private label for Opening Ceremony. The guys that own it are so nice.  They were playing some music, Langhorne Slim, which I liked.  Sounds a bit like Conor Oberst and I asked if he listened to him.  He had heard of him and then I mentioned Monsters of Folk which is a mixture of the indie boys; Oberst, M. Ward and 2 from My Morning Jacket.  He went online, downloaded it and had it up and running before I left the store.  Gotta love the net.

Then I walked over to Dover Street Market.  A concept Comme Des Garcon store and other designers. This time of night all the Brits are out on the street at the local pubs having a pint.  The Brits love to drink.

Dover Street is really a great store.  The woman who waited on me, her husband owns Bstore.  She actually remembered me when I was there 2 years ago.  She asked where my daughters were.  Wow. Love that.  So no surprises why I like these 2 stores.

Saw a variety of things I liked but nothing I needed except a fantastic pair of shoes.  Couldn't help myself!
