Manifesto at the Park Avenue Armory
Our friend told me that we should get up to the show, Manifesto, at the Park Avenue Armory. It is worth the trip.
Seeing the armory with only 13 screens hanging from the walls/ceiling with one long bench in front of each of them is an incredible sight in itself. Each screen shows a short film starring Cate Blanchett in different roles from a newscaster to a teacher to a homeless man. Each character tells a manifesto quoting artists over the last century. Each manifesto is a declaration about different art movements from Pop Art to Surrealism. It is a very cool installation and of course Blanchett is amazing.
We wandered around the place afterwards. Going when the armory opens up on Sunday is great because the place is empty. This is one of the rooms open to the public. So beautiful and old.
The bathroom sign has definitely been updated and I love it.

Looks amazing. What is the minimum amount of time I could spend there to take it all in? Thanks!
We did about an hour
Many thanks. We have limited time today but don’t want to miss it.
