Food Incubator anybody?
Hot Bread Kitchen oversees a food incubator program that is fantastic. This program has been up and running for the past three years. We have really zeroed in on how to help the entrepreneurs behind these businesses educate themselves on the process of scaling a food business. We have had some businesses move forward and we have seen more than a handful begin to get traction in stores such as Whole Foods.
If this is an area that interests you we are beginning to take applications for the next round.

Timely…Considering one in Long Island City so this is good info to check against although our needs are for a dedicated space with storage, shipping and receiving.
Which one in Long Island City?

Interesting. HBK is a intensive program where you spend time focusing on multiple aspects of your business. There is also a variety of companies going through the same program together so the camraderie is a bonus.Curious what you think after doing the research.
Certainly…
Dedicated storage, receiving, and flexible hours are all part of the deal, conveniently located in Manhattan. Please call Sandra and set-up a tour– 212 369-3331.
Thanks. We called in and spoke to someone.Manhattan location is desirable but a dedicated space is essential for this model.Sounds like you have a great program although not perfect for our needs.Finding incubators close in with dedicated work spaces is however indeed a challenge.
I love the idea of the food incubator. I just checked, and we even have a couple of them in Toronto.
it is a growing area. there is another one that will open at 1000 dean street in brooklyn sometime next year.
they tried this in Chicago and the city inspectors shut it down. Too much competition for existing restaurants.
interesting. then they are not going about it the right way. this is great for the economy.
