The Last White Man – I enjoyed Mohsin Hamid’s book Exit West, so I was looking forward to reading The Last White Man. This book is more of a one-dimensional concept intertwined with family. Conceptually an interesting idea and left me wanting much more.

Zabar’s: A Family Story, with Recipes – I loved this book.  The history of the family with plenty of NY stories too.  Also, the evolution of their store.  Many could take a lesson from the Zabar family and how they have managed to survive all these years.
